I’ve recently paid a lot more attention to colour and colour combinations, test the colours of my art supplies, read books about colour combination and textile (Spectrum, Heritage patterns and Colour), and also practice them in my sketchbook.

I do not have a very good sense of colour, and when I look at an object, I always “look” at the colour it originally is or the colour it supposes to be, shielding all the external factors such as surroundings, lights which could affect the presented colour of the object.

I always try to jump out of the thinking and seeing method, but, very difficult. Drawing with colour markers would be a bit easy since the colour are fixed and what I need to do is to pick and pair, but drawing digitally involves picking colour from the colour wheel, the range of choice is too large that I hardly find the place to set my feet, and ends up to have very garnish to dull colours for my drawings.

I have the tutorial with Duncan in the afternoon, although my network connection is extremely bad and I stuck like a PowerPoint slides, Duncan finds my works very interesting and thinking I could make a brand image or a product out of the blank face stamp.

Great, let’s carry on.
