As the continue of studying the face, I made some prints using the carved rubber stamps. (I quite enjoy the process of making, like it even more than presenting the finished work. And I also like to play with different materials and learn new techniques! YEAH!)
I made the blank face stamps (looks like certain old Chinese or Japanese cosmetic brand logo), as it might provide various possibility to be filled in, to express various emotions, to be utilised for a different purpose (a deco stamp, a memo frame, or a pattern?). The blank face can become anyone, can have any facial expressions, so how do we recognise people, how do we look at people’s face?
Recently, my flatmate and I have been wearing face masks when using the kitchen, most of the time we see each other in real with masks. Can we still recognise each other if we meet each other with our mask? And with masks how do we use our facial expression to the largest extent?

I also find some doodle on my notebook, maybe done during the previous tutorial with Jimmy discussing the face and the message it can deliver. We always use meme, and a lot of them are associated with the face, either a specific person, or exaggerated facial expression, or even both. Memes deliver the unspoken message, the message is coded and understand by the meme users (but the difficulty to encode may vary). Memes also spread like flu, I always find my own screenshot memes are saved by my friends, and they continue to spread them to others.

I also set up my story writing blog (in Chinese) via Wix.
